Johnny Jump Up is a favorite past time at the Luttenton house. Also see the little one in her car seat messing with the canopy. No longer does the canopy stay abover her head. She likes to pull it down and rest her feet on it. This first started in the grocery store. The first time I saw her with her feet on the canopy I thought it was an accident until I pushed the canopy back and saw her pull it down and rest her feet on the plastic. Now it is a fun game!

Spitting 202
Dalby's new form of communication - She has been doing the spitting for awhile but this week for some reason it seems to be the way she chooses to share most all of her thoughts. It is causing her face to get even more chapped. Just this morning she spit until she was red in the face.....must have been something important she was saying.
Bath Time
Prepping for bath time has normally involved running the water while Dalby hangs out on the changing pad in the bedroom(there is a direct line of sight from the bathroom to the changing pad). Then we take off our clothes and lay out the towel and get our wash cloths. Now that there is some more mobility this routine may have to be altered slightly. As you can see by the picture it only takes a second to roll over, turn around on the changing pad and grab whatever object is nearby on the floor.

6 month appointment
We had our 6 month check-up today. All is well. 17'4oz and 27" long. Three shots today and an especially upset baby. The 9 month appointment should be better - no shots!!!! :)

Puerto Rico
M.D. and I headed down to Puerto Rico for a few days to visit Ryan. He has been working in Puerto Rico for the last few weeks. The plane flights to/from P.R. were less then desirable as I am sure we are the discussion of many travelers from our flights. We had it all- from screaming baby, to loud talking baby to messy baby in the bathroom, to hungry baby who wouldn't take her bottle. I looked like the mother who was dragged through five hours of plane time with her 6 month old child. It was all worth it though because our time in Puerto Rico was wonderful! We relaxed and took things nice and slow(as only you can with a baby). We did find out that there are no babies allowed in a casino. So no blackjack for us. It is always good to see where Ryan works and a little taste of his life on the road. Plus it was good to get out of the house for a few days. We already miss him and wish we had stayed a day or two longer.

Post-swim - snug as a bug in a rug wrapped in a huge hotel towel. The swim went well. She clung to us for dear life for the first bit and then started to kick a little.
Typical look as we pushed the stroller through the hotel. People smiled a lot because they would comment that it certainly looked like someone knew how to vacation.

Sitting Up
Hanging with cousin Ryleigh and modeling a swimsuit and hat that will be worn when we go to visit Dad in Puerto Rico. Ryleigh is modeling another sun hat that will be taking the trip too:) Marin Dalby sits up quite well now, she just started sitting up on her own last week.

Baptism
Sunday, Jan 13, 2008 Ms. Marin Dalby Luttenton was baptized. The service was interesting because up until right before the baptism there was quite a bit of noise coming from our area of the church. Then Ms. Marin Dalby fell asleep in mamma's arms right before we were to hand her to the priest to be baptized. She proceeded to sleep through the rest of the service, including the water being poured on her head. We were lucky to have visitors for the occassion - Grandpa and Grandma Dalby and "Bumpa" and Mary Luttenton. We had a nice brunch to celebrate the day. Unfortunately for most of the weekend Grandpa Dalby was not feeling well at all. He actually left not feeling well, so hopefully he gets back to Michigan and starts to feel better.

Christmas
We had a wonderful trip to Michigan for Christmas. We got to see the Luttenton and the Dalby family. Cold temperatures up north, but unfortunately no snow. All the snow and ice had melted the week before we visited. The drive up was uneventful, although long. The drive home went well. We caravaned back with Anne and Lyndsay(Dalby sisters) and Greta(Lyndsay's dog). Then Damon(Dalby brother) met us in TN to ring in the New Year. New Year's Eve day we went downtown to the Music City Bowl to meet up with some of Damon's friends who went to Kentucky. We tailgated for a bit and then came back to our house to have a few people over for food, games and a pool tournament. What a fun and busy holiday!
Can't wait to see what I got.....
