What time is it?

Dalby loves watches/clocks.....here are a few shots of her with her clock on.....the second picture I asked her to smile....I think we have a little work to do.....

Good Morning Sunshine!

Don't let the sweet smile fool you....most mornings our little one is a mess! Our start to the day begins with a 6:00AM quiet little voice saying, "momma................momma........some baby talk and movement ................... Momma ................. Momma.......MOMMAAAAA!!!!(in a tone and volume so momma won't even think there is a chance of her going back to sleep)" As soon as momma walks in the room, she is greeted with "Daddy?" So we go check on where daddy is in his morning routine. Then comes the diaper change and sleep sack removal or I should say wrestling match. (and yes we are still in the sleep sack. Dalby gets cold at night and we have trouble keeping blankets on her. Maybe we will stop using the sleep sack when she is 20). After her initial wake up, all pleasantness goes out the window until we get a little breakfast in her belly. Then she must help Daddy finish his routine by getting a little face shaving and deodorant application and of course the kiss and wave goodbye to wish Daddy a nice day at work.

Bumps and Bruises

We have been busy lately with falling and tending to injuries. In a recent visit to the park, on one of the 60 degree days that teased us that spring might be here, we took a tumble and got quite an "owie" on our knee. This knee owie has led to her pulling her pants down at the Y daycare to show the caretakers her knee. Dalby also likes to remind, discuss and kiss(several times) the owie during diaper changes and during random points in the day. Every time she takes a bit of a tumble she grabs her owie knee. Maybe a little dramatic? I also have to say that I am afraid that Dalby might be cursed with her mom's coordination. She has bumped her head on a ceramic trash can, which caused a nice bruise on her forehead. And then as that was healing she klonked her head in the same spot on the corner of our coffee table. This bump prompted a call to the doctor because she grew a big bump and bruise. Needless to say we are healing nicely and are expecting more bumps and bruises as we grow more independent.

Mall Walking

A few girlfriends and I try to get together and catch up and walk. It has been cold and windy here the past month or so...too cold for us to go outside and walk so we laughed as we decided we would meet at the mall a few weeks ago. How cute are all the little ones? I am sure we were a sight to see doing our lap around the mall. It was great to get out and this was our first meeting of Baby Toby. What sweet babies they all are....

Recital

A fun Christmas - even though I don't have all(or any Christmas pictures) up yet I thought you might enjoy seeing some of the new toys. Dalby sure enjoys her new toys. First, the grocery cart - what can beat a mobile toy basket. And if you notice the grocery cart is FULL!!!! Also a minature piano. It is so cool and a pretty piece of furniture for our rec room. We have nice piano concerts - as you can hear in the video. Maybe her songs will be on itunes soon. Sorry the video is so dark but I think you can still see in the video how she still concentrates with her tongue out.
