Charlie's First Haircut

Dalby's hair gets trimmed at home.  Quinn has had one little fly away hair trimmed.  But to cut a boy's hair correctly seemed a bit much for me to attempt, especially while trying to pin Charlie down.  So we took Charlie to a kid's haircut place and he got his first haircut way back in January.  It was much needed and it was cut short.  We just went back to get his hair trimmed again and he is so good!  He just sits and plays with the toy.  In these pictures it was a school bus, this last time it was an airplane.  Here are a few shots from his first haircut.  I have still found even with his haircut it still never looks like I run a comb through his hair....

2012 Preschool Graduation

Graduation to kindergarten was a few weeks ago.  We got ready and met everyone at preschool.  I am quite proud of these standing pictures, with three smiles, hair brushed and smiling kids.  It was a cute ceremony.  The students walked in, they announced their names as they walked on stage and showed a picture we had taken of what they wanted to be when they grew up.  Dalby wants to be a pre-K 4 teacher at the Little School(her preschool).  We then took some family photos and went to lunch.  It was a nice day and all went quickly.

Last Day of Preschool

Sadly we had our last day of preschool at the beginning of May.  The kids loved school, their friends and especially their teachers.  Dalby got a cute book that contained pages that they had worked on each month and pictures throughout the year.  Charlie and Quinn got photo albums of pictures from the year and a really nice letter addressed to them.  All of the books are so sweet and keepsakes for sure.  A last day of school picture was not something Charlie was interested in.....

Summer Sprinkler Fun

We had some fun in the sprinkler with some of our cousins and neighbors.  They jumped right into the sprinkler.  It took Dalby, Charlie and Quinn a bit to warm up to the idea of the sprinkler.  Once Charlie got the idea he was in the water.  He came over to me every time he got sprayed in the face and towards the end of being outside he started to get COLD(Although even with his lips blue he denied he was cold).  After a few minutes, the kids seemed kind of bored with the idea of the sprinkler, which is foreign to me, but once I brought out some tupperware then it was game on.
