Look at my ride.....

What a cool find that Grandpa and Grandma brought down from MI. Here Dad and Dalby get ready to take a test ride around the block. Since we were all hooked up and ready to ride mom thought she would try a test ride to downtown Franklin today. After the ride we have a couple of glitches to work through - I lost the flag.....the helmet needs to fit better.....the sidewalks in downtown Franklin need to be wider or better yet, not blocked by telephone poles and overgrown bushes and peoples' brick fences......It was a fun ride but I think it would be better to get a bike rack and find a few local paths......Either way Dalby drank her milk and read a book in her buggy.

Michigan Trip

We had a wonderful and busy trip to Grand Rapids......we got to see a lot of people....

Bumpa and Mary found a cool backpack for Dalby to ride in during her stay. Here is Bumpa about to take Dalby out on her first walk. Bumpa and I walked all the way to Bigby Coffee(2.5 miles one way)....Bumpa needed the coffee break......
We got to go to Meijer Gardens with YaYa. The children's garden is cool. Dalby had her own special entrance, which she walked in and out of, in and out of and in and out of.....
This is all for me!!!!
Dalby loved this bridge. Here is a shot of Daddy taking a turn helping Dalby walk over the bridge...
Water!!!! Dalby also enjoyed the "Great Lakes"...so much so that she ended up soaked because she would pick the boats up and dump the water out all over her dress, shoes and tights.....good thing we brought a change of clothes.
Look at my teeth - no more jack-o-latern....

Asleep in the car on the way home from the airport.......Dalby wasn't a very good flyer on the trip from Nashville to Detroit. In fact she was awful!!!! She screamed the whole flight and we were on a little commuter plane for an hour and a half..........the flight from Detroit to Grand Rapids was fine. Then Dad got to fly and experience the "fun" from Detroit to Nashville......her ears must bother her more now because it is quite a scream.....so our little girl needed her rest. She slept all the way home from the airport and then thankfully she slept for our hour wait for gas. (Nashville has a ridiculous gas shortage....that no one else in the country seems to have......so there is no gas here in middle TN...it is causing quite a stir...)

Horsing Around

Sorry for the lack of posting lately....this post I had ready to post before we left for MI and then I started having computer problems. I think we are up and running well now.
Whenever you lay on your stomach around this house....expect a visitor on your back......

A picture to show the first date.....when Ryan took this picture he said, "Perfect." I thought he meant he got a smiling, fun shot.....well it is a funny shot. Dalby does this pose when you ask her where her nose is.....she finds her nose and then attempts to pick it......

1...2....3....GO!!!!

A fun new game.....

That is how I roll....

Dalby loves hats, whether it is her Spartan hat or one of her daddy's hats, she is all about putting the hat on and trying to walk around with it on....even when it covers her eyes:)

Bells on her toes...and say "hi"

We love the new walking shoes and the bells on her toes. It is easy to find our little one anymore and if there is no jingling we need to find her.......We got the shoes a week or two ago and Dalby seems to be ok with her shoes. At first she wasn't so sure about the process of putting the shoes on, but now it is old hat :)

The second video is of Dalby saying "Hi". If she notices the camera too much then she usually attacks me. I will show her pictures on the camera and now when the camera comes out she wants to see the "dady"(translates "baby" or "daddy" depending on where she is pointing) on the camera.
