Happy St. Patty's Day!!!

A leprechaun came to Dalby's school today and left a mess! So when we got home from school today Dalby said to me, "I was right....the leprechaun came to our house too and left a MESS in the rec room."

Several attempts at catching pics of our little leprechauns!

Yummy!

We began cereal about a month ago. We have moved onto carrots, pears, apples, sweet potatoes, prunes, green beans(not a favorite for Quinn) and peas. It is amazing how fast babies move from "What is this stuff on the spoon?" to "When are you going to have my cereal and food mixed and have that spoon loaded and in my mouth?" Charlie has liked or at least eaten any food offered. Although he doesn't feel the need to always finish his bowl of food and he actually prefers to eat after he sleeps. Quinn has liked all but the green beans, indicating her dislike by screaming through the entire feeding. Quinn often finishes off what her brother doesn't eat at his meal and also requires (3) solid food feedings a day versus her brother's (2). Quinn also prefers to eat soon after her bottle....which means at any given moment during the day I am usually either feeding one of the babies, Marin Dalby or myself:) When the two are eating next to each other it is quite entertaining. One or both are usually grabbing at the others bib or arm. If you separate them then you move Quinn too close to the counter and Charlie too close to the table. Even with nothing on either the table or counter they can both manage to make a mess. Below are the pictures from the first cereal feeding. This is the only time they have been in matching bibs. Charlie enjoyed the first bite and Quinn's reaction in the picture is typical to what she looks like for the first bite at each feeding. Then Quinn begins to make noises indicate she enjoys the food and gets very testy if you don't keep a steady flow of food moving in her direction. As you can tell by the post we haven't quite figured out the ins and outs of feeding two babies solid food. I would really like them to eat at the same time and keep some sort of schedule but right now, as always it is quite an adventure here these days!

This picture was taken after the feeding...Charlie is upset because he is ready for some sleep.

6 month, really 7 month, check-up

The doctor's appointment went well and we have two happy, healthy babies. However shots are never fun and tend to make for a couple days of fussiness.....:(

Dress-up

Dalby loves to dress-up! She has several twirly skirts, tops, old shoes of mine and this ensemble that she got for her birthday. This is everything she got in the package...quite an outfit! We like to dance and sing a lot in our house and when musical numbers are on TV or we turn music on in the house she usually puts one of her skirts or dresses on.
