Swinging

We like to swing in our house. The videos of Quinn and Charlie were taken a month or so ago. The video of Dalby was taken when Dalby and I visited Kansas. Please ignore the camera work and just listen to the laughter. Hopefully it makes you smile like it makes me smile. Also Dalby can pump herself but really likes swinging high in the baby swing.... She can if no one is waiting for the swing.

Necklace....

I wanted to capture a cute picture of sisters sharing. We don't usually let the babies mess with Dalby's jewelry. However it was sweet when Dalby put the necklace on Quinn and I wanted to get a picture. Dalby gave Quinn quite a "hug" for the photo while Charlie remained in the background. Then Charlie saw the necklace on Quinn, crawled over and pulled it hard and started to hurt her. We stopped that and decided to try for a second picture with Dalby being more gentle and Charlie supposedly preoccupied with another toy. As you can see by the second posted picture it didn't work and we were done with necklaces and pictures.

Discussions....and dress-up

While I prefer everyone on the same schedule ...it hasn't been working out that way lately. It isn't as convenient for us all but I do get a bit of time to focus on each child.

Quinn is always talking...here are samples.

Charlie starting to say "Hi" and have conversations. (sorry for the crazy video)

Dalby going to a "party" or she was "getting married"(or both because she has a purse and her flower bouquet). She wears the heels around the house. In fact we don't put her socks on until right before we leave so she can wear her heels around the house.(socks are to slippery in heels ...of course!)

Help

Marin Dalby will "help" me when taking pictures of Quinn or Charlie especially if one of them isn't paying attention ... Here are a few examples (These I caught with my phone) of the "help".... Hope someone doesn't lose an eye.... (look closely at poor Charlie in the second picture)

Imagination Movers Concert

Recently we drove up to Michigan(I know crazy to think we would do it again so soon after Christmas). But Santa had brought Marin Dalby three tickets to the Imagination Movers concert in Detroit. We had a GREAT trip. Our first stop was Grand Rapids. Ryan had a training class in Grand Rapids that fell during Dalby's Spring Break and the week before the concert so it worked out perfectly! The thing that didn't work out as well for us was night driving. Some people swear by it, we however, will not. While in Grand Rapids I got to drive over to Holland to see the new Haworth Center. It is beautiful and it was wonderful to see old friends! Next stop, Grosse Pointe(the three hour drive from GR to GP seems so easy after the 14 hour trek up north). We arrived Wednesday night in Detroit. Ryan had to be in Chicago for work on Thursday and Friday, so I tagged along. My mom, dad and sister took care of the kids for the two days. I haven't been to Chicago in awhile and I just love the city! I did a little walking, met up with another old friend and then Friday we flew back to Michigan. Saturday we got together with a crew we always love seeing and we had a fun night! Sunday was the concert!!!!!!! It was so exciting to get ready and head to downtown Detroit. The concert was FABULOUS!!!! For those of you who haven't heard the Imagination Movers - they are great - as far as kid's music goes. There are not many, in fact I can't think of another, concert/show I would really want to go to but I was excited to see these guys - and they didn't disappoint! Santa had also arranged for us to go back stage to meet the Movers, hear them sing a bit more and get our picture with them. What a treat!!!!! (Nice job Santa!)

High-Fiving each Mover and Nina as they came down the aisle.

For Disney Junior watchers - Choo Choo Soul opened the show.
