Home Depot Saturday Project

We spent this past Saturday doing our first Home Depot project with some fun friends here in Glen Ellyn.  It was a race car - perfect - especially for our race car loving little boy!

Our race cars seem to "fly" a lot.....
Daddy and Dalby's stickers were a little more precisely located then Charlie and Quinn's but it makes each car unique....which in theory hopefully means less arguing over whose is whose....

Showing off their work!

Another Snowstorm

We had another snow storm.  This one came on fast and gave us a lot of heavy wet snow.....fun for snowman making, not so fun to shovel/snow blow.  The kids are loving the snow!  The snowman we made with this snow isn't square because we didn't have to pack several buckets full of snow just to get a little snowman.  Daddy rolled a snowman and put it right by the back steps so the kids could keep an eye on it.  That snowman is a bit of driving hazard but it will melt soon:)  The snowman below is in the backyard.

Creative Juices

Not sure what the girls are making but their creative juices are going. Charlie is playing with his cars after he colored his lips and hands orange with marker. Thankfully it was washable.....

A day outside

We have been spending a lot of time on our back driveway.  Sidewalk chalk and bikes are our friend.  Thankfully the weather has cooled off a bit so we can spend the afternoon in the shade of the house.

This is a look we see a lot.... Usually when he is trying to ask for something or convince us what he has done was a good idea....

Quinn LOVES to play catch and is pretty good..... Charlie loves to throw(whip) the ball at his "catch" partner.

We drew train tracks on the driveway and took turns pushing the train. When you weren't pushing the train then you were riding a bike/car and stopping at the crossings for the train engineer.

Our singing artists....

Happy 4th!!!

Waiting for the parade....

Quinn slept thru a lot of the parade.

Waving to all the fire trucks! He didn't flinch with all of the sirens and horns. He waved to all of them and there were probably 15. After the fire trucks he got down and headed straight to the stroller for water and goldfish and sat in the stroller for the rest of the parade.

Charlie's First Haircut

Dalby's hair gets trimmed at home.  Quinn has had one little fly away hair trimmed.  But to cut a boy's hair correctly seemed a bit much for me to attempt, especially while trying to pin Charlie down.  So we took Charlie to a kid's haircut place and he got his first haircut way back in January.  It was much needed and it was cut short.  We just went back to get his hair trimmed again and he is so good!  He just sits and plays with the toy.  In these pictures it was a school bus, this last time it was an airplane.  Here are a few shots from his first haircut.  I have still found even with his haircut it still never looks like I run a comb through his hair....
