Little Spartans

Our little Spartans......these photos were taken a few days after we got home from the hospital. We were going to take it in the hospital, like we did Marin Dalby's. However our hospital stay this go around was nuts! And when we were packing up to come home we were ready to get home and not to take the Spartan hat pictures(I will post pictures of the hospital too). Aunt Annie had found the hats for us in East Lansing(we hadn't been able to find the block S hats online). Pre-birth we were worried when Annie bought them that they wouldn't fit our "small" twins heads. Little did we know we would have such good sized babies....so we are glad we took the photo when we did because there is no way the hat would have fit Charlie's head now. The hat was so tight on his head the picture really didn't work well because he started complaining the minute the hat went on his head!

Dress-up

Marin Dalby was given a dress-up skirt and she absolutely LOVES to wear it everyday. She wears it to watch and dance to Glee or when we start to play music on the computer or just because. She wears it over her clothes, she wears it under her clothes, she wears it as her clothes.......We do have to take it off for meals. Here she is all dolled up for the day:)

3 week appointment

I am a week late in posting the three week appointment stats but am finding that I am excited to just get to sit down to post:) My sister Anne is visiting and I have to say I don't know what I would do without all of the help from all of the friends and family both here in TN and from far away. I don't think Ryan and I would be sane individuals without the assistance. Marin Dalby loves all of the visitors and friends stopping by.....it certainly helps her and she loves all the attention the visitors bring.

The little ones are growing. Charlie is 10.1 lbs and and 22". Quinn is 7.2 lbs and 20.5". They are battling some acid reflux but currently nothing like Marin Dalby's. We feel very blessed but boy are we busy! If you walk into our house right now you are more then likely going to get assigned a child to care for during your visit :) (The reason there are two pictures of Quinn is she was more into posing for the pictures after the appointment then Charlie. )

2010 Spring Program

Marin Dalby had her spring program a few weeks ago. She and her fellow Monday and Wednesday two year old classmates performed two songs. It is so fun to watch the "show" and all of the activity on stage. Marin Dalby concentrates quite a bit on the teacher and getting the motions correct. Her teachers say she loves music class and really likes the songs with movement. If you will notice too the week of the program she was back to her old Michael Jordan tricks of letting her tongue hang out while she focused......

Our new additions

First, thank you to Lyndsay for updating the blog with our new arrivals information. We are very excited and very busy with our three little ones. My recovery is coming along too but will be glad when I am 100%. We are figuring out that a schedule is ABSOLUTELY essential to make all of this start to work out. We have been feeding every three hours and have just moved to try feeding every four hours. We are blessed with a lot of help from our family and friends. I don't know what we would do without everyone. Marin Dalby is in love with QuinnChawie(all one word) and is so eager to help out....so much so we have to watch out how much "help" we get. She is so gentle and loving when she holds them and has been pretty good with all of the changes in the last week. Our kitchen is finishing up too so the number of workman in our house will start to decrease and make the craziness slightly decrease(the morning after we got home from the hospital we had to get Dalby ready for preschool, had the electricians, the granite installers, the carpenter and two babies to feed all at the same time-talk about nuts!). We will take pictures of our kitchen, which we are loving, when everything is together!!!!

Homecoming

(posted on behalf of the Luttentons)

Dalby started back at school this week after spring break and was excited to go see her friends. I am told she is happy to wake up to get to go see Momma and Daddy in the morning as well as the 2 new blessings.

The whole family is on track to return to new floors in the kitchen tomorrow and start to settle in as 5 where there once were 3.
